What is happening?

I have no clue, to this question. In fact I am asking this question with an intention to get a feedback from readers in regards to what is happening.

If you are in this game of Internet Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, Traffic Exchange, Online Business and all that, well you may understand what I am trying to ask. Maybe not. Who knows. However, I will give it a try to ask my question anyway.

If you look around, what is happening is that everyone is promoting but not getting results. They are all so much involved and put in so much of effort and energy into promoting something that never gets sold. However, I seldom see anyone stopping for a moment and wondering about what is going. Asking the question that I am asking. What is happening.

Here is what I am seeing is happening. It may sound crazy or outright funny. Some may even think that I am exaggerating. Nonetheless, I suggest you should try surfing a few traffic exchanges or view the campaigns as such that are going around and you will realise what I am saying.

Let us for understanding  purposes take a figure here. I like number 10. So here we go.

There are 10 people promoting 10 programs 10 traffic exchanges. These are the very 10 people who view the adverts and all ten of them are already members of those 10 programs that they are trying to promote or sale. All 10 of them paid those 10 traffic exchanges for some or the other upgrade. So they have spent on advertisement that is going nowhere. Now the fun part is, they are selling 9 of the remaining traffic exchange upgrade package on the 10th Traffic exchange. This is done by all for all the traffic exchanges. So effectively every one of them is seeing adverts for all those traffic exchanges that they are already paid members and are trying to promote in vein hope to get someone to sign up.

Doh!

Did I make any sense?

This is just one aspect. The other aspect is, selling those Matrix programmes or money trippler or whatever. Every advert claims to be unique ‘business’ opportunity. However, none is very clear about what is this ‘Business’. What is to be sold? What is to be bought? What is to be promised? No one has a clear answer. The only thing they will say to you is that this is never before opportunity and you should get in before others and ‘secure’ your position. Next step, find 10 more gullible like you and get them to cough up some money. But those 10 are already busy promoting the promotion platform and have no money to spend. (did you lose track? refer to previous paragraph)

The walks in someone with all possible combination of English alphabets. PLR PTC PPV PPC PTR GDI GVC NPN HYIP PTP … and what have you. You would probably scratch your head so hard that without any tool you would have slimmed your already thinning hair line. Hell I could never understand a single letter of those acronyms. However they all claim to be most revolutionary. So those 10 and the Matrix blokes look at it with suspicion but can’t do much about it.

Just about the time when you are totally confused, there comes to your aid, the lot that says that they have mastered the art of making money on Internet and they will show you how. You have to join their ‘training’ program. You hesitantly sign up. Only to realise that it is nothing but ‘organised’ madness of the above three. The only encouraging part is that in this ‘training’ gig, you get ‘certified’. Oh wow so you are now certified idiot. Wow. You have a JPG image attached your mug shot saying you are certified, and your this certified mug shot is flashed on those traffic exchanges, with or without your consent. You are awarded some title of  ’expert’. Ha ha… and friends, I am not being simply critical here. I have done this exercise myself and got certified and hence stating it with full authority and powers thus vested in me for being an certified idiot.

This non-sense does not end. It goes on and on. But you do occasionally see some brave who dare to actually run advertisements, trying to sell something. Maybe health product, home decor, hand made jewellery or something tangible only to fail at the attempt. You ask me why they fail? Of course they will fail. They are advertising to people who have gone dead broke by spending money on stupidity like buying memberships on traffic exchanges or upgrading to training programs or signing up for some matrix or trippler scheme … basically they have no money to buy from you.

No one knows where and how this vicious cycle can be broken. Isn’t it time to get the fundamentals clear. I don’t know. Can anyone of you educate me?
