Purpose of Social Surfing

Nov 30, 11 Purpose of Social Surfing

Social Surfing is buzz word. Almost every traffic exchange and marketing and advertising site is jumping on this band wagon by offering options like Chat, Facebook, Google+, Twitter, LinkedIn, StumbleUpon and various other sharing options. The ability to directly post a particular advertisement on these portals is good. However what it is doing is flooding the social networks with adverts that are not relevant to many. In effect becoming nuisance to those who are not associated with Internet Business, Network marketing or things like that.

For instance, I have friends and they are all over. Literally all over the place. I have real world friends who connect via social network and then I have online friends and then I have friends from traffic exchanges and there are friends that played Zynga games with me on Facebook. They don’t share common platform. The only common thing amongst them is that they have ME as their friend.

Now that is a different matter all together. It is upon me to sort those things out. Who gets to read which information when I am posting. Somehow I have managed it. I think. The point of this article is little different though. It is targeting towards the marketers who use social networks for marketing purposes.

Somehow, they have missed the point of marketing, to start with and add to it, the essence of  being ‘social’. They are out right blatant in their efforts. Utterly ugly, boring and noisy. Most of them are anything but ‘social’. Every post on Facebook, every tweet on twitter timeline, every email they send you, is just selling you something. What happened to good old fashioned ‘hello’ and ‘hi’. No more ‘How are you today?’ It is really disturbing and pathetic.

I wish to write series of articles for people to understand the concept of marketing and then also about how to be social. However, in this ultra fast paced world, no one has time to read, learn and implement those ideas. No one is bothered about it. Everyone one is out there trying to make big bucks quickly.

I was thinking about it and the whole topic seems to lead to one fact. The fact is, people need some sort of solution. Hence I have decided that instead of writing on marketing and or social networking I will begin with my series of articles on Law of Attraction which will be features on ‘I Factor Theory’ site. Hoping that more people would discover it and and benefit from what I have to offer. I for sure am not going to go around ‘helping’ people. If they need, they can find me. I bet you, they will. You found me didn’t you?
